Virtual FAST TRACK ROAR Freshman Orientation

Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM until 12:30 PMCentral Daylight Time UTC -05:00

ROAR stands for Registration, Orientation, Advising, and Resources. The event starts at {{Form-Date | date: 'h:mm tt'}} and will be accessible in Zoom with the link sent to your email 24 hours before the event starts. This two and a half hour event will introduce you to campus leadership, orientation leaders, your fellow classmates, and cover the advising and registration process, while allowing you to ask any questions you may have. In the same day, you will attend an advising session using the same Zoom link and be registered for classes that afternoon. You should plan for the event to take 3 and a half hours total.

The advising sessions will be divided by Focus Areas and will be as follows: 1pm-2pm STEM, Education, Humanities, Discovery, Arts and Entertainment, 2pm-3pm Business, 3pm-4pm Social and Behavioral Sciences. Once you attend one of these sessions and the main event, you will be registered for your classes.

Please plan to arrive no later than {{Form-Date | date: 'h:mm tt'}}. Parents are welcome to attend with you, but there will be many student-only interactive sessions. We will have parent orientation materials available in the Blackboard that we recommend you view with your family members. We have a full event, so want to leave plenty of time for getting folks connected. The waiting room will be available at least 15 minutes before the start of the event.

Additional details are available on the web at http://www.govst.edu/FreshmanOrientation/.
